The biggest floating Christmas tree of the world of the Pond Rodrigo de
Freitas in the Rio de Janeiro was inaugurated, in spite of the rain, it
did not confuse the beautiful show.
The great inauguration was composed by shows, many fires that
illuminated the sky, Christmas musicians, great amusement and emotion.
The party became already a tradition in the city. From 1996, the
structure is mounted in the Pond Rodrigo de Freitas and there was made
the biggest floating Christmas tree of the world.
This year the subject of the tree is " A melody of peace for the
Brazilian family ". In the top of his 85 meters a star with the company
of two angels representing the peace.
Every Saturday, at 21h, natives of Rio de Janeiro also will be able to
see a burning of fireworks, installed in the side ones of the tree.
